Happy Street is an Unique Concept organised by Times of India and Maharashtra Times where Thousands of Nashikkars Participated and Enjoyed a number of Activities. The Activities includes so many Games and Arts by Professionals as well as Hobbyists.
Happy Street Event was organised on 4th February at College Road, Nashik. The Event includes Arts like Dance Show, Band Performances, Calligraphy, Magic Show, Observation of Sun using Telescope and Games like Gymnastics, Badminton, Chess, Skating and Freestyle Football.
Nashik District Chess Association  Participated in Happy Street for Spreading the Game of Chess in People of Nashik. This is the 1st time in the Maharashtra that Chess is Participated in Happy Street for Promoting Chess within the People. We got Total 89 Enquiries for Chess related things like Association, Coaching, Tournaments. The Theme of the Chess Section was " Come and Play with Star Players of Nashik". Total 76 People Played with Maharashtra State Champion Ganesh Tajane.
Efforts of NDCA got Big Success. So Many Children Showed their Interest in Chess. Review of Parents is always a Pleasure for the Encouragement. One of the Parent Mrs. Kalpana Tejwani gave us Compliments and gave  Short Review that- "It is Very Nice to See the Chess in Happy Street. Due to lack of awareness, I didn't get Proper information about Chess. I know the only one Player- Vishwanathan Anand. But because of NDCA, I get to know Vidit Gujarathi and the Proper Information about Chess. Thanks NDCA and All the Best for Future Events." For  Development of Chess in Nashik, it is decided that NDCA will Participate in Every Happy Street by taking Different Themes.
I'm Sure that this Efforts will Surely Aware People and Develop Chess in Nashik. Thanks to our Very Own NDCA Secretary Mr. Milind Kulkarni for this Unique idea.

                          CHESS AT THE STREETS OF NASHIK. WEEK- 2 Hello Everyone,              Like the last Sunday, We arranged Chess at Happy Street, Nashik near Sagar Sweets, Govind Nagar. This time We came with the Different Theme - Bullet Chess. The Motto was To Create Curiosity and Excitement within the Nashikkars and I'm Happy to State that We Succeeded in our Motto. This is the First time in Maharashtra that Chess Came to the Road and Became an Outdoor Game.
